Grace Staff

Don is a life-long resident of Michigan, having grown up in Battle Creek and attending Springfield High School. Converted to Christ in 1973, Don served in a local church for 5 years while he took classes from Liberty Institute and Moody Bible Institute. In 1978 he entered full time ministry and served in the Maple Valley community until the start of Grace Community. During the past 23 years Don has served as the Training Coordinator for Sonlife Ministries in the Chicago area. Sonlife is a leadership development organization for which Don trains several times throughout the year.

Don was married to Sherry for nearly 28 years before she passed away suddenly in March 2000. He has two children. Brandon is married to Angie. They have a daughter named Alayna and live in the Detroit area. His daughter, Amy, is married to Tony. They have a daughter named Avianna, and live in Battle Creek. Don has remarried, and his wife’s name is Evie.

Don is an avid sports fan with a passion for football! He has coached in the local public high school for more than 20 years and has served as one of the varsity football coaches at Maple Valley for the past 17 seasons.

Lisa a graduate of Lakewood High School and is a lifelong resident of Michigan. She graduated from Calvin College with a degree in Sociology and has a variety of work experiences. Lisa joined the staff at Grace in 2001 and currently works alongside the Pastors by overseeing several areas of ministry. She coordinates the areas of Worship, Special Events, Prayer, Fellowship Events, and Communications.

Lisa is married to Steve and they live in the Woodland area with their two sons, Jason and Brandon. Lisa loves music and to read. She has a passion for heart-felt worship and desires to use the arts and contemporary media to enhance the worship experience for the people of Grace.
